I’m getting the podcast out a little later than I’d hoped this week. We recorded the episode on Monday, Nov. 25, the evening of Mercury’s retrograde station. But luckily, most of what we discussed pertains to the astrology of next week, beginning with the new moon in Sagittarius tomorrow morning, Sunday, Dec. 1.
The first week of December is deep and tense. The Sun and Mercury form a sign-based T-square with Jupiter and Saturn, just as Mars slows to a frustrating halt in Leo and begins his long-anticipated retrograde. Try to move slowly and carefully in the weeks to come; details are prone to slip through the cracks as we lock into what may feel like unresolvable conflicts within and outside of ourselves. Mercury’s cazimi on Thursday offers a moment of inspiration, pointing to the deeper why of our efforts. Try to listen and hold on to this message as Mars fuels our frustration with a barrage of unconquerable seeming obstacles. This is a season for slow, deliberate actions and setting our sights on long-term goals and foundations. Despite what Mars may feel about his current predicament, all is not futile, and we will reap the benefits of what we sow—just not until later.
